Business travel

Business travel booked by someone who answers the phone

Flights, hotels, rail and transfers managed to your policy by a named contact who knows your business — and who picks up when a flight is cancelled on a Sunday night.

What does a business travel agency do that booking online does not?

A business travel agency books to your travel policy, consolidates billing, and keeps a record of who is travelling where for duty-of-care purposes. The real difference shows when plans break: a named person rebooks a cancelled flight rather than leaving the traveller in an airport queue.

What we cover

The whole journey, not just the flight

Flights

Scheduled and low-cost, booked to your policy, with the routing that actually suits the meeting rather than the cheapest fare on paper.

Hotels

Rooms in the right part of the city, billed back to the company rather than paid on a personal card and reclaimed.

Rail

UK and European rail, including the journeys where the train genuinely beats flying once you count the airport.

Transfers and car hire

Airport transfers, cars and drivers where a taxi rank at midnight is not the right answer.

Groups moving together

Several people from several places arriving in one city on one afternoon, which is harder than it sounds.

When it goes wrong

Cancellations, missed connections and weather. Someone to ring who can rebook rather than a queue and a chatbot.

Being honest about it

When you do not need us

If one person flies to Dublin twice a year on the same route, book it yourself. You will not save money using an agency and you will not save time either.

Where this becomes worth it is volume and complexity: several travellers, multiple destinations, a policy to enforce, a finance team tired of chasing receipts, or a board that wants to know where its people are. If that is not you yet, we would rather say so.

Talk it through anyway

Questions

The things people ask

Why use an agency when we can book online ourselves?
For a straightforward return flight, you probably should. The value of an agency shows up when a flight is cancelled at seven on a Sunday evening, when a visa turns out to be needed, or when six people from three offices have to arrive in the same city on the same afternoon.
Do we get one person to deal with?
Yes. You get a named contact who knows your travel policy, your preferred airlines and which of your directors will not take a connecting flight. That is the whole point of doing it this way.
Can you work to our travel policy?
That is normal. Cabin class by journey length, hotel ceilings by city, approval thresholds and preferred suppliers. We book within it and flag anything that falls outside rather than quietly spending more.
What about duty of care?
We keep a record of who is travelling where and when, so if something happens in a city your people are in, you can answer that question immediately rather than ringing round.
How does billing work?
Consolidated invoicing rather than a scatter of card receipts, with reporting by cost centre, traveller or project if you need it. Most finance teams find this is the part that pays for itself.
Do you handle visas?
We flag what is needed and how long it takes, and work with a visa service for the application itself. The failure we see most often is people discovering a visa requirement a fortnight before travel.
